Our Puppies
Buying a puppy is a big decision and at Kennel CardiStar’s we prioritize safety, responsibility and transparency throughout the entire process. We provide thorough and caring guidance before, during and after the puppy purchase, so you feel confident and well-prepared for life with your new family member

The Early Beginning
At Kennel CardiStar’s, we put a great deal of love and care into selecting our breeding dogs and partners. We carefully plan the combinations and pairings we truly believe in - even if it means traveling for the matings or importing semen to ensure the best possible match. Health, temperament, and breed-typical traits are always our focus.
We believe that a mother’s care during the early stages has a major impact on her puppies’ future development. That’s why both pregnancy and whelping take place in calm, secure surroundings, where the mother receives peace, attention, and support from us, allowing her to give her puppies the very best start in life.
The first weeks
The first three weeks are an incredibly special and vulnerable period. During this time, we sleep on a mattress beside the mother and her puppies, who stay safely in the whelping box. Our full focus is on providing calm, presence, and support for the mother, so she can concentrate on her most important task - her puppies. She receives nourishing, high-quality food, and we are with her both day and night.
We pay extra attention to first-time mothers. Some take the role naturally from the start, while others need gentle guidance and support to settle into motherhood, and we make sure to give them all the time they need.
The puppies are closely monitored, weighed daily, and when necessary, supplemented with milk replacer. We also help the smaller puppies reach the best places in the "milk-bar", ensuring that every puppy gets the very best start in life

Growing up
The weeks from 4 to 8 are a very important period in a puppy’s life. During this time, we place strong emphasis on environmental training and socialization, gradually introducing the puppies to new sounds, surfaces, experiences, and people in a safe and controlled environment. We gently and carefully expose them to fireworks sounds and take them on short car rides, helping them get used to transport and new stimuli from an early age.
We work purposefully to give the puppies positive experiences that build their curiosity, confidence, and resilience. Our experience shows that early exposure is crucial for their future development, and we place great importance on providing them with a solid and secure foundation that they can carry with them as they grow.
What to Expect?
At our kennel, we place great emphasis on ensuring that the puppy-buying process takes place in a safe and transparent environment. We provide lifelong breeder support, and no question is too small - we aim to be with you every step of the way, before, during, and after your puppy moves into its new home.

What We Expect
We also have some expectations for our future puppy owners. It is very important to us that you have carefully considered whether your life situation is ready to welcome a dog - both now and for many years to come.
We expect that if you are renting your home, you have checked whether dogs are allowed in your home, and that everyone in the household is aware of and happy with the decision. In addition, we hope that you have thoroughly familiarized yourself with the breed and understand what it means to own a herding dog, including the exercise, training, and everyday commitment required.
We also hope to maintain a good and informal contact after the puppy has moved into its new home. Following our puppies’ development is very important to us - not only to share in the joy of seeing them thrive in their new families but also as part of our future breeding work. Sharing experiences, small updates, or photos is greatly appreciated, but always in a way that feels natural and comfortable for you.
Our goal is to find responsible and loving homes where the puppy becomes a lifelong part of the family.
The Process
Do We Sound Like the Right Breeder for You?
We maintain a waiting list for interested puppy buyers for upcoming litters.
Please feel free to send us an email answering the questions in our questionnaire.
We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we focus on matching each puppy with the family we believe is the best fit for the puppy’s personality and needs. This way, we hope both the puppy and the family can enjoy the best possible life together.
