This litter was Cassie's second and last litter.

A very special litter for me. A litter that I had dreamed about for several years!
After a long, troublesome and not least expensive process, I finally managed to get frozen semen home from Jai Jai and I had high hopes and dreams about this litter.

After Cassie was inseminated, the excitement was almost unbearable!
After 25 days we were finally able to scan her and confirm that there were at least 3 puppies. The joy was great and even greater when a week before the due date, we could see on the x-ray that the belly was hiding 4 puppies!

Everything started as planned but unfortunately the birth never really got started. We decided to do a caesarean section but unfortunately 3 out of 4 puppies could not be saved. This is the first time we have lost puppies and it was completely unbearable. It felt unfair that the beautiful puppies never got to meet their mother.

Luckily we got one nice and strong male puppy home and he was named Solo. This is the first time we tried to have a singleton puppy.
It has been a special experience and you become extra attached to such a lonely puppy.

We quickly decided to keep Solo.
He has always been very brave and curious and is just something very special to all of us in the family. We are very excited to follow him!
